I teach the student to use mind to lead energy and to cause the body to
perform correct yin yang posture and breathing to remove blocks to
efficient energy flow through vessels and meridians for good organ
health, plus effective rooting for greater stability and balance. With
daily practice this leads to good mental and physical health and martial
power for self defense applications. The principles upon which the
ancient martial art of Tai Chi Chuan is based are thousands of years old
and teach a unique way to balance mind, body and spirit. Tai Chi Chuan,
if practiced faithfully, can bring exceptional health, peace of mind
and joy to the practitioner.
I know this all sounds "very serious" but my teaching is lighthearted, fun and sometimes laced with a bit of humor.

Healing and corrective Tai Chi / Qi gong:
In special cases I can adapt traditional principals of the Tai Chi classics creating lessons which conform to special needs such as injury and health recovery, by working with the Chinese principle of Qi or energy flow as well as physical muscle, tendon and joint relaxation and development.
